Snow Categories

Belts

Belts transfer power to key snow thrower systems like the auger and drive.
If a belt wears out or breaks, the machine can’t function properly — stopping snow
removal in its tracks. Routine maintenance is critical to avoid downtime and ensure
consistent power delivery

Bearings and Bushings

Bearings and bushings reduce friction and wear in key moving parts, helping snow
throwers run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Without proper maintenance, they
can lead to poor performance and costly repairs.

Cables

Control cables connect the operator to key snow thrower functions — such as the
auger, chute deflector, and safety controls. If these cables aren’t working properly,
the machine can’t perform safely or efficiently. Regular inspection and replacement
are essential to prevent unexpected breakdowns

Drive Discs

Bearings and bushings reduce friction and wear in key moving parts, helping snow
throwers run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Without proper maintenance, they
can lead to poor performance and costly repairs.

Skid Shoes

Snow throwers glide smoothly over surfaces, protecting both the machine and the
ground from damage with the help of skid shoes. They also maintain the correct
clearing height, especially on uneven terrain

Scraper Bars/Shave Plates

Scraper bars and shave plates help snow throwers clear snow efficiently while
protecting the machine. The shave plate scrapes snow off the ground and guides
it into the auger, while the scraper bar cleans up the remaining snow and
shields the housing from wear. Replacing these parts regularly
helps maintain performance and extend the life of
the snow thrower.

Shear Bolts and Pins

A shear pin (also called a shear bolt) is a small, replaceable bolt that connects your snow blower’s auger to its shaft. It allows the auger to spin, scoop up snow, and feed it to the fan, which throws the snow out of the chute. If the auger hits a hard object, the pin breaks to prevent damage—making it a simple but crucial part for keeping your snow blower running safely and reliably.
